Anyone that knows me knows exactly how much I value my daily latte. Its become an important part of my morning routine but that daily latte isn’t exactly budget friendly nor is it really convenient to get my 18-month-old daughter ready, which might take an eternity, just to grab a latte at the local coffee shop. And I don’t know about you but I have really come to appreciate my morning coffee, especially when I know that my day will probably include tears, wiping up the flood that hit during bathtime, and the screaming that’s bound to take place because I won’t let her touch the dog’s eyeball. This motherhood thing is really tough sometimes and exhausting. By the time Wendy’s bedtime rolls around, I’m ready for bed too and some nights, I’m not ashamed to admit it, I’m in bed by 7 pm and then up at sunrise to start the whole process over again and most days Wendy wakes up just a few minutes after I do, leaving very little time to actually enjoy a quiet moment. Now I’m not saying that I don’t love my daughter or the time I spend with her, it’s just that sometimes a little quiet time to ourselves is important for our own mental well-being, it’s not selfish, we’re not being greedy, yes we’re moms but we are still people with our own needs and wants and sometimes all this mama wants is 2 minutes of quiet time to enjoy her coffee and start her day.
Now if you’re like me you probably need that cup of coffee and quiet time too. You probably don’t want to make an entire pot of coffee just to have most of it sit there getting cold all day then have to pour it out at the end of the night. Not to mention that a regular coffee machine probably won’t make a fancy latte for you. And when it’s come to coffee machines, I’ve tried so many of them and I can honestly say that only one has really impressed me. De’Longhi Lattissima One has been a morning time saver for me. It’s everything I could ever want in a coffee machine. It’s easy to use, simple to clean and creates creamy lattes in seconds. Yeah, seconds and all I do is drop a capsule in the slot, fill the milk container, and then press a button.
I was even more excited when I found out that the Lattissima One was created in partnership with Nespresso and was compatible with the Nespresso pods. Nespresso pods are made of aluminum and can be recycled infinitely, which if you are eco-minded like our family, you’ll appreciate that. You just need to request a free recycling bag the next time you head into a Nespresso store. So to make the perfect latte, all it takes is one capsule and one touch. De’Longhi really made it simple to indulge in top-quality cappuccinos and latte Macchiatos with this single-serving espresso machine, while sporting a messy bun and yoga pants, and waiting patiently for your toddler to wake up.
It makes lattes faster than it takes your kids to find you…
Okay maybe not hungry kids, but still makes your cup of coffee pretty quickly. The 19-bar high-pressure pump heats up your milk-based recipes in less than 40 seconds. 40 seconds. That means you’ll be able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or a latte before your toast even pops out of your toaster. Not to mention that the advanced frother creates a rich, long-lasting and creamy foam, which is something I enjoy about lattes.
It’ll save you a ton of money in the long run
It was getting pretty expensive to constantly be buying lattes or coffees. I know it can be nice to get out of the house every once in a while, but when every once in a while turns out to be every other morning, it starts to hurt the wallet. Thanks to De’Longhi it’s super convenient to be able to make that perfect creamy latte. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out that lattes aren’t the only thing this coffee machine makes. There are 6 one-touch recipes. So you can enjoy lattes, cappuccinos, latte macchiatos, espresso, hot milk and regular coffee. Plus if you really want to up spice things up, try the flavoured Nespresso pods that comes complimentary with the machine or add a little honey and top it with cinnamon, delicious!
Its sleek design will look great in any kitchen and won’t take up much counter space.
We live in a pretty cozy space, so any counter space is valuable, the Lattissima One’s sleek Italian style looks fantastic in our kitchen and doesn’t take up much room. The way it’s designed is pretty practical. There is a sliding drip tray for different cup sizes, a removable milk container, and illuminated buttons, you know for those mornings after a long night when you can’t see straight…those lights will help guide your way to bliss.
Clean up is super easy
The advanced milk-frother comes apart easily and is top-rack dishwasher safe. So when you’re done drinking your latte, take apart the milk frother, pop it in your dishwasher and walk away.
If I hadn’t received the Lattissima One from De’Longhi, I would have asked my husband for this machine for sure…you know as a Mother’s Day gift or ‘just because’ gift. It’s really a powerful machine that’s going to help any mom out there deal with the daily demands of being a mom. Plus if you really want to make this Mother’s Day special, you could surprise her with the Lattissima One and treat her to a tasty breakfast, perhaps an easy Eggs Benedict or some healthy scrambled eggs?
Also from now until May 13, 2018, you can save 25% off and receive a $25 coffee credit when you buy De’Longhi’s Lattissima One.
