Halloween is just around the corner and with it all the sugar highs. At least that’s the usual deal. This year I decided to do things a little differently. With all the awareness surrounding allergies, I wanted to make sure that there were options for everyone at this Halloween treat table.
We’re all looking for healthier and allergy-friendly Halloween treats, it can sometimes be a difficult task. Then I realized I may have had everything I needed at home to create an awesome Halloween themed snack that would please parents and kids. Plus these little avocado chocolate pudding zombie bunny cups are the cutest little things. They taste great too. My two-year didn’t even notice that she was eating avocado pudding, she just called it chocolate. I’ll claim that as a win.

In our house, it isn’t Halloween until you’ve watched Hocus Pocus, so this year I decided that for our annual Hocus Pocus movie night, I was going to make some spellbook brownies. However, I decided this last minute so I had to come up with something quick, plus I had just finished cleaning up my kitchen and started the dishwasher…then I had an idea! In our house, there really doesn’t seem to be a better way to countdown to a holiday than watching holiday-themed movies. Halloween is definitely on that theme list! Chris and I loved making some popcorn, hot apple cider, and watching a scary movie together…but that kinda changed when Wendy was born. Somehow I don’t think watching the original Chucky movie with Wendy would be in the top parenting ideas of the year.
