Anyone that knows me knows exactly how much I value my daily latte. Its become an important part of my morning routine but that daily latte isn’t exactly budget friendly nor is it really convenient to get my 18-month-old daughter ready, which might take an eternity, just to grab a latte at the local coffee shop. And I don’t know about you but I have really come to appreciate my morning coffee, especially when I know that my day will probably include tears, wiping up the flood that hit during bathtime, and the screaming that’s bound to take place because I won’t let her touch the dog’s eyeball. This motherhood thing is really tough sometimes and exhausting. By the time Wendy’s bedtime rolls around, I’m ready for bed too and some nights, I’m not ashamed to admit it, I’m in bed by 7 pm and then up at sunrise to start the whole process over again and most days Wendy wakes up just a few minutes after I do, leaving very little time to actually enjoy a quiet moment. Now I’m not saying that I don’t love my daughter or the time I spend with her, it’s just that sometimes a little quiet time to ourselves is important for our own mental well-being, it’s not selfish, we’re not being greedy, yes we’re moms but we are still people with our own needs and wants and sometimes all this mama wants is 2 minutes of quiet time to enjoy her coffee and start her day.
Now if you’re like me you probably need that cup of coffee and quiet time too. You probably don’t want to make an entire pot of coffee just to have most of it sit there getting cold all day then have to pour it out at the end of the night. Not to mention that a regular coffee machine probably won’t make a fancy latte for you. And when it’s come to coffee machines, I’ve tried so many of them and I can honestly say that only one has really impressed me. De’Longhi Lattissima One has been a morning time saver for me. It’s everything I could ever want in a coffee machine. It’s easy to use, simple to clean and creates creamy lattes in seconds. Yeah, seconds and all I do is drop a capsule in the slot, fill the milk container, and then press a button.
