Freezable breakfast sandwiches changed my life when I was a new first-time mama. Seriously. Between the all-night breastfeeding, lack of sleep, and barely noticing if my shirt was on backwards, I couldn’t imagine trying to make myself anything that remotely looked close to a breakfast meal. I’m forever grateful to all those moms in my life that recommended I plan ahead and freeze a few meals before Wendy was born. It was such a great idea and one that I’m sharing with you now. Breakfast was so much easier when all I had to do was pop a breakfast sandwich in the oven for 10 minutes and wait for the timer to go off.Read More
St. Patrick’s Day No-Dye Pancakes
Hello Friends! Happy St. Patrick’s Day. I hope you have some fantastic plans this weekend whether that’s we friends or with family, you’ll probably want to start your day with something filling and healthy. Since I’m trying to be a responsible mom or something like that, I started looking for alternatives for gree dye. I wanted to make green pancakes but I didn’t want to put a ton of artificial dye in them and then feed them to Wendy. So I pulled out the fresh spinach that was sitting in our fridge veggie drawer and started experimenting. Read More

Healthy Whole 30 Scrambled Eggs
I know a lot of people have started the Whole 30 and it can be brutal, trust me, I’m still having nightmares about cupcake filled ballrooms. I wish I was lying. It can also be really difficult to come up with meals that are whole30 friendly and don’t that long to make. At least that was the challenge for me when I did my very first round back in 2015. Surfing through Pinterest and finding inspiration from other blogs really helped me out. So in an effort to help you out, I’m sharing one of my favourite breakfast ideas. Even if you aren’t doing a round of Whole30, these eggs are just healthy and taste great for any breakfast. Even Wendy (my toddler), loved these eggs for breakfast. Read More
Eggnog French Toast
I wasn’t a fan of eggnog until I met Chris. I mean I avoided it like fruitcake. Then our first Christmas together, Chris came home with a carton and added some rum to it and I was hooked. Thinking back, maybe it was the rum and not the eggnog that I liked. Anyways, we’ll never know because I happen to enjoy it now. I even make my own stuff, which I’ll be posting about in December. Since that day, I’ve been finding ways to include eggnog in some everyday recipes. I mean, the holidays are coming so why not, right? Read More
Easy and Delicious Banana Cranberry Bread
Is it just me, or do cranberries just taste so much better this time of year? Or maybe I just love the bright red colour. On a side note, I think I may be in the closet about my love of the colour red. I’ve always thought my favourite colour was blue, but I’m finding myself decorating with reds so maybe my favourite colour is changing. Anyways, as I was searching my freezer for dinner ideas, the bright red of a forgotten bag of frozen cranberries caught my eye. My mind started to think of all the wonderful goodies I could make so that this bag wouldn’t go to waste. Then I thought about the very ripe bananas sitting on my counter and BOOM bread idea!Read More
