I remember the first time we traveled with Wendy, people thought we were crazy. She had just turned 5 weeks old and we were off to Disney World. Mind you, I had a conference at the Mouse’s house that was planned well before she was even conceived so this wasn’t a last minute trip adventure. We even bought extra trip insurance just in case I couldn’t travel or she couldn’t either. But when the time came, she and I were both cleared to fly and travel by our doctor so off on an adventure we went. I was a little stressed out beforehand, I had heard so many horror stories from parents, and had a lot of people calling me crazy or brave. But we pushed forward and decided to pre-plan for our flight and leave the rest to chance or luck or Wendy. I’m happy to tell you, that that first plane trip with her went smoothly, I couldn’t believe that I had stressed about it as much as I did. Even the flight back was a good one. So after that experience, we decided that we would fly again with her when she was 6 months old and again, it went really well. We learned a lot about traveling with a baby under 1 years old. So I want to share 15 tricks or tips that we learned so that your next flight with your little one won’t be a stressful one.Read More
The Best Valued Snacks to use your Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits on
Chris and I are huge fans of Disney’s Dining Plans, mostly because we are foodies, aka we love tasty food, and trying out the menus at Disney’s Signature dining restaurants. But it’s not cheap, so you really have to make each meal and snack count while on one of the plans. When it comes to snacks at Walt Disney World, there are plenty but if you’re using your snack credits on snacks, you want to make them worth it. After some calculating, you’ll want to make sure your snacks are valued over $4.50, so forget using your snacks credits on water, sodas, or fresh fruits, they just aren’t worth the full credit.Read More
Blue Cheese Bacon Filet Mignon
Is there anything better than blue cheese and steak? I think not, and a few weeks ago our friends agreed with that sentiment too. We had a few friends over for dinner and on the menu was bacon wrapped filet mignon with a blue cheese-breadcrumb topping. It was amazing and didn’t take long to put together and cook at all. So whether it’s to impress your friends, or you’re looking for a quick dinner tonight that’ll impress your sweetie, this is the recipe you need. Read More

Healthy Whole 30 Scrambled Eggs
I know a lot of people have started the Whole 30 and it can be brutal, trust me, I’m still having nightmares about cupcake filled ballrooms. I wish I was lying. It can also be really difficult to come up with meals that are whole30 friendly and don’t that long to make. At least that was the challenge for me when I did my very first round back in 2015. Surfing through Pinterest and finding inspiration from other blogs really helped me out. So in an effort to help you out, I’m sharing one of my favourite breakfast ideas. Even if you aren’t doing a round of Whole30, these eggs are just healthy and taste great for any breakfast. Even Wendy (my toddler), loved these eggs for breakfast. Read More
My phrase for 2018 and my resolutions for making this my year
Happy New Year, friends!
I hope you enjoyed your holiday season. I pretty much took an unscheduled break this holiday, which is why you didn’t see or hear much from me. During that time, I did some thinking about what I want out of 2018. Looking back at 2017, it wasn’t a bad year, but it also wasn’t really a good year either. I felt held back for most of the year, so for 2018, I’m deciding that I’m not going to give into fear or self-doubt. I’m going to force myself to focus on my dreams. In the last few days, I have seen so many people post their ‘word’. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out Ali Edward’s One Litte Word. You pick a word for your year, a word you can “focus on, meditate on, and reflect upon”it’s supposed to inspire you and refocus you. While I love the concept of picking a word, I wanted to go a little further. So this year I picked a phrase. My phrase for this year is “I broke up with my fears to marry my dreams.” Last year I wasted so much time and energy being afraid of overcoming obstacles, this year I’m not wasting time. So here are my goals for this year.Read More
