I’m so excited to be participating in my first ever One Room Challenge this year. This has been something that I have wanted to participate in for so long. In case you have no idea what the heck I’m talking about. The One Room Challenge is a six-week challenge to make over one room. It features 20 designers and many more guest participants. Spring is just around the corner and I am so ready for it! I even spent the weekend changing over our seasonal decor, bringing in some brighter and lighter colours. How many times have you heard someone say ‘life is too short’? Probably more times than you can count. Now, how many times have you actually listened to those words? Probably not as often as you would like. I know I’m guilty of that too. There are days that end and leave me wondering what the heck I even accomplished yet I still felt like I had so much I didn’t have a chance to do. I was thinking about just that the other day. How many times I’ve intended to call someone, see how a friend is doing, or send a card to someone just to let them know I’m thinking of them. I’m sad to say that those three things tend to fall to the wayside more often than I’d like to admit. I am not a football fan. I don’t understand the sport, nor do I care to. I don’t really understand the hype when it comes to the halftime show BUT want to know what I do like about today? The super bowl party our friends throw each year. It’s the perfect combo of friends and great snack food because who doesn’t love an abundant amount of wings, fries, dips, dessert, and hopefully, someone brought some apples and caramel dip. For this party, I’m bringing the perfect appetizer, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers. Bacon, cheese, and jalapenos, it’s the perfect snack combo. Not only are these tasty, but they are also so easy to make. AND they’re low carb and keto friendly. Win-win.Read More
