I’m so excited to be participating in my first ever One Room Challenge this year. This has been something that I have wanted to participate in for so long. In case you have no idea what the heck I’m talking about. The One Room Challenge is a six-week challenge to make over one room. It features 20 designers and many more guest participants. This season I’ve signed up as a guest participant and I’m super excited about it. So every Wednesday for the next six weeks, I’ll be updating you with all the lovely and not-so-lovely parts of renovating a 30+-year-old bathroom.Read More

With Easter just around the corner, I figured I would share over 20 crafts that you can make with your kid this year. I know I’ll be making some of these with Wendy. She’s getting to that age where crafting is actually a lot of fun with her, there’s always a huge mess, but ’tis life.Read More
Spring Updating: Living Room
Spring is just around the corner and I am so ready for it! I even spent the weekend changing over our seasonal decor, bringing in some brighter and lighter colours. With each season, I go through each room and change up the decor a bit, just to make it feel homey. This weekend was all about our living room sitting area. I’m so happy with how it feels so fresh right now and spring-ish. Read More
Send a Friend a Card Day
How many times have you heard someone say ‘life is too short’? Probably more times than you can count. Now, how many times have you actually listened to those words? Probably not as often as you would like. I know I’m guilty of that too. There are days that end and leave me wondering what the heck I even accomplished yet I still felt like I had so much I didn’t have a chance to do. I was thinking about just that the other day. How many times I’ve intended to call someone, see how a friend is doing, or send a card to someone just to let them know I’m thinking of them. I’m sad to say that those three things tend to fall to the wayside more often than I’d like to admit. You tend not to give that too much thought though until you’re forced to think about how much of life we take for granted.Read More
Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
I am not a football fan. I don’t understand the sport, nor do I care to. I don’t really understand the hype when it comes to the halftime show BUT want to know what I do like about today? The super bowl party our friends throw each year. It’s the perfect combo of friends and great snack food because who doesn’t love an abundant amount of wings, fries, dips, dessert, and hopefully, someone brought some apples and caramel dip. For this party, I’m bringing the perfect appetizer, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers. Bacon, cheese, and jalapenos, it’s the perfect snack combo. Not only are these tasty, but they are also so easy to make. AND they’re low carb and keto friendly. Win-win.Read More
A Dreamy Little Girl’s Bedroom
I finally finished Wendy’s big girl room. It took a lot longer than expected but it’s done and I couldn’t be happier, and neither could Wendy. Using hues of pinks, blues, purples, and greys I wanted to create a space that sparked creativity and relaxation and of course, I wanted it to be a pretty little girls room that Wendy loves and would want to spend time in. I also wanted to create a space that encouraged her to be a little more independent. I took some inspiration from all over the internet and from Wendy. I became fascinated by the Montessori philosophy and so I wanted to incorporate elements of that into her bedroom. Here’s the final result of all of that.Read More
