The leaves are starting to change colour and the temperatures are falling, so it’s only right that it’s time to bring out the fall flavours, like this pumpkin mac and cheese dish. No, the pumpkin faces aren’t the only pumpkin thing about this dish, it really has pumpkin in it. Read More
Six Shows To Binge-Watch This Fall
The weather is cooling down a bit and the days are getting shorter, so it seems many people start to spend more time indoors curled up on the couch with a blanket and some popcorn. If that sounds like you, your probably looking for some shows to binge-watch or get into. Here are my recommendations for six shows to binge-watch this fall. Read More
Updating Our Main Bath and a Free Printable
When we renovated our main bathroom during the One Room Challenge back in the spring, I knew that making the space ours was really important to me, even if it was a bathroom. So the colours and decor had to speak to our personalities. That’s also why the artwork and some of the little touches reflect something important to us, our love of Disney.
A Review of Goodfood
If you follow my Instagram, then you probably noticed back in December that I tried out a few meal delivery services, one of them being Goodfood. I should mention that I was not asked to review them, this isn’t a sponsored post, nor was I paid anything to try them. I was just at a point in my life where I was struggling to keep up with my schedule, with therapy, Christmas around the corner, toddler meltdowns, blogging, and coursework, dinner was the last thing on my mind. Chris’ schedule was really no better, and we all became tired of soup and crackers for dinner every night. Then as I was watching a YouTube video, a Good Food commercial came on, and I thought ‘hmm I’ll give that a try’ and here we are. After a few weeks of meals, we were pretty impressed.
It’s Been A While But I’m BACK!
Happy August, friends!
It’s been such a long time since I’ve updated the blog. Life has been busy. I started an Intensive Public Relations program at Ryerson back in May and just finished it today. Oh my goodness. I am never going to take an intensive certificate program again. It wasn’t that the content sucked or the people were awful, it was just extremely stressful and intense…I know that shouldn’t be a surprise considering it’s called an ‘instensive’ program but this was really hard on my anxiety. I’m glad to be done with it and now I can focus on the blog again.
So stay tuned, I’ve got a few blog series coming up!
The 5 Best TED Talks That Will Leave You Feeling Motivated
Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am a TED Talk addict. I can’t even begin to describe my new found obsession with TED Talks. It seems in the last 6 months, instead of spending my extra time watching reruns of my favourite TV shows, I’ve been listening and watching all sorts of TED Talks. Talks about finance, mental health, happiness, storytelling, procrastination, and the list goes on. There seems to be a TED Talk for every topic. You might already be familiar with TED Talks, but if you’re not I’ll give you some information about it. TED is a nonprofit organization that is all about starting discussions and sharing ideas about many topics in many languages. Many of the speakers are inspiring to listen to. It’s all about sharing ideas and generating discussions.
